Psycholinguistic aspect of stuttering (peculiarities of intra-speech programming, semantic perception of the text and using those peculiarities in therapy programs for stutterers.)

The development of programs designed to modify speech patterns in parents which may contribute to the problem of stuttering in their children.

Professional Objectives

I have developed a new and unique method of logopedic massage for the treatment of speech disorders, including stuttering. This program has been well received in Russia by both practitioners who work with adults and by parents of children suffering from various common speech and language disorders, and the results have been quite positive. I would like to work with my colleagues in the US with the objective of introducing these methods to the American speech therapy community. In addition, I am hoping that I can become familiar with treatments that are peculiar to the west, but not so well known in the former Soviet Union.

I work in a clinic in Moscow, and am interested in opening my own private clinic for the treatment of stuttering, and would like to observe how such clinics are organized and managed in the United States.

And finally, I would like to translate my books into English, and to consult with American colleagues in that process.
